   Medical Terminologies Tutorial
This tutorial, developed by Dr. Jeremy Rogers, will introduce you to medical terminologies, why we need them, what kinds are there, as well as to some medical terminology projects. A glossary of terms is also provided.
   CliniClue & CLUE Browser
CliniClue is the brand name for clinical terminology services provided by The Clinical Information Consultancy Ltd. These services include training and consultancy as well as provision of a widely used freeware terminology browser. CliniClue 2006 (formerly known as the CLUE Browser) is the latest in a series of browsers and terminology tools developed by CIC Ltd to demonstrate terminologies from the Read Codes through to today's leading clinical terminology SNOMED CT.
   SNOB - A SNOMED Browser
If you are looking for a small and free SNOMED browser for your desktop, you have come to the right place. Just download SNOB, and import the SNOMED Tabular Tables into a SNOB database. SNOB version 2 is more than just a SNOMED browser. You can now edit existing descriptions, add new descriptions, export the content to file, import files in the new planned Enhanced Release Format, import multiple releases of SNOMED into the same database, and see a changelog for each concept.
   Protégé
Protégé is a free, open source ontology editor and knowledge-base framework. The Protégé platform supports two main ways of modelling ontologies via the Protégé-Frames and Protégé-OWL editors. Protégé ontologies can be exported into a variety of formats including RDF(S), OWL, and XML Schema.
   International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO)
The IHTSDOR has been established as an association under Danish Law, and its purpose is to:
Acquire, own and administer the rights to SNOMED CTR other health terminologies and/or related standards, and other relevant assets (collectively, the "Terminology Products")
Develop, maintain, promote and enable the uptake and correct use of its Terminology Products in health systems, services and products around the world
Undertake any or all activities incidental and conducive to achieving the purpose of the Association for the benefit of the Members.
